Born of the olive tree

Elia is a Mediterranean kitchen and delicatessen tucked beneath the vaulted brick cellars of Covent Garden.

Named after the Greek word for olive, Elia draws its spirit from the tree that has nourished the Mediterranean for thousands of years — a symbol of simplicity, gathering, and abundance.

Our cooking begins with the ingredient itself: fresh organic produce, good olive oil, fluffy bread, and recipes passed down through generations. Nothing overcomplicated. Just honest cooking that allows a ripe tomato, a handful of herbs, or something baked from the oven to speak for itself.

Whether gathered around a table of meze, lingering over dinner, or taking home something from the deli shelves.
